The Zone Leaders, Sister Leader Trainers and District all met this last week for Leadership Council.  Everyone came prepared to discuss a talk given by President Uchdorf called "Fear Not, I Am with Thee".    This talk was given at the New Mission President Seminar this last summer.  President Lovell introduced a Training Plan where parts of this talk will be used at upcoming meetings held in the mission. This includes District Meetings, Zone Training Meeting and Zone Conferences.  Because everyone came so prepared to discuss the talk we were able to have a wonderful discussion about how it applies to us as missionaries and members of the church.  I am looking forward to our Zone Conferences as we continue to learn and experiment on the teachings and principles in this talk. 

The assistants presented a great power point presentation to discuss things like the Carbon Dioxide Detectors and Smoke Detectors,  money for emergencies, having a 3 day supply of food in every pension, cell phones, training new leaders, and many other important things. 

The financial Secretaries came and discussed rent payments and other  financial information for the missionaries.  These secretaries have a big responsibility and we are grateful for them!

 

Later in the afternoon we broke into groups of Zone Leaders, District Leaders and Hermana Leaders to discuss roles and responsibilities.  That was one of my favorite parts!

During the conference we talked about many other things but one big thing was the discussion about goals and how to reach them.  We were able to report that our attendance at Sacrament Meeting is up 10 to 13 per cent this year in the mission.  The area is stressing the importance of real growth and the Area President has actually asked us to share what our missionaries are doing to make this happen.  It is a great accomplishment!  We have wonderful missionaries and there have been many miracles in the mission!
